  • People That Refuse to be People

    July 5th, 2021

Where ever you are on this lovely planet that has almost zero problems, you are gonna relate to this. You see, I’m not a big fan of criticizing people’s live choices, but I do not like seeing them dragging you to become like them. Now, I’m not talking about the bigger things in life. No, I’m talking about those tiny stuff that always matter.

It all started with that procrastination. The halt of things that started this problem. When you live in the hottest spot on Earth where it reaches to 50℃ in Summer, and you just decide to accept it and take a walk early in the morning or later in the evening. However, they always say to you: “It’s so hot outside!” Well, thanks for the heads-up! I know it’s hot, so what? Like it’s fresh news or something. I get it, it’s hot. So, because it’s hot I don’t have to live and adapt? By the way, it’s been always hot like this and I’m pretty sure it will keep going up until we decide to let go of the ego and see what to do about climate change. Besides, why do you always have to bring this up? I’m quite sure this also goes for the countries that are always freezing most of the year.

    The “not now” thing

When you hear some lovely human beings saying this it means that it probably won’t ever happen, or at least not now. “Not now” does not convey not at the particular moment, no. It means not now during life. Maybe after life? I don’t know, but as far as I know it’s not now. Just wait. Or don’t wait because it’s not gonna be happening “now.”

Why is it so hard to adapt? Why do we always have to drag people with us to the same mental world we’re living in? I think there are people out there that will think I’m exaggerating a bit. Guess what? You’re right. Yes, you’re completely right. I think we usually make small matters bigger by spending too much time contemplating them. But still, why is it so hard to adapt to the weather? And they all act like it’s their first time experiencing searing Kuwaiti Summer.

  • The Funny Side of Truth

    April 11th, 2021

I guess most people like being told what they want to hear? Or at least the things that they feel might be true. We all ask for the truth and we don’t rest assured unless we’ve been informed of it. The truth is like a cake that nobody asked for but it’s still, a cake! Such a ridiculous metaphor, isn’t it?

Now, throughout a few life experiences, I realized that most people, including myself, have that sense of agony when the truth doesn’t fit our imaginary world. Reality is something that is way bigger than what we expected. Harsh. Nevertheless, I find it quite funny. Yup. The truth might be funny sometimes that it can make you crack of laughter. It’s amusing to me how it can be immensely contradictory to my anticipation.

    Wondrous truth

Wonder is the seed of accepting. That’s what I truly feel. No other cure to it, but to be opened to wonder of how our truth is growing inside us as a close friend, however, a true one. A friend that is fondly connected to us and loyal. A true friend that won’t risk hurting us. Yes, I know. Truth does hurt sometimes. As long as you feed it your wonder, as time goes by, it becomes too frail to hurt. The stains of the scars and old pain will remain. I’m not gonna lie about that.

I personally found that people want you to lie to them in order not to hurt them. They won’t even confess to themselves that they want the lie. I guess it’s human nature or we’ve been subconsciously taught to run away from any potential pain coming our way. Who knows…

It’s still funny how we all share the same experience with the truth yet we still give it the satisfaction of falling into its pain trap.
